IR heating is a system that does not heat the room air like other systems, but heats things like walls, ceilings, floors, furniture or all objects in the room. These objects emit heat back and consequently warm up the space. The advantage of heating with IR panels is that there is no air circulation, so it does not raise dust, does not dry out the air, the air in the room is clean and therefore frequent radiation is not necessary. You can also open windows and replace the air in the room, thus not losing heat because the walls, floors, ceilings and furniture are still warm.
Panels therefore do not work all the time, but only when the room temperature falls below the desired level. The average operating time of the panels is slightly more than 4 hours per day at the lowest annual temperatures. Because there is no air circulation, the temperature is the same throughout the room. There is only one to two degrees of difference in temperature between the floor and the ceiling. This is not possible with the classic heating system, as the difference can be up to 6 degrees. Heating with IR panels quickly and efficiently drains moisture in the walls and prevents mold formation. Infrared rays heat and drain the walls at the same time.
